  • About Shed Base Kits

    If you have or are looking to purchase a new garden shed or greenhouse, then you will want to put it on a firm foundation. Traditionally, this foundation would have been paving slabs or a similar concrete base. Although easy to lay, these trap water against the shed and even allow water to run back under the shed during heavy downpours.

    Our garden shed base kits are the perfect remedy for this issue. Made from a plastic grid with plenty of drainage, they allow rainwater from the roof of the shed and around the shed to freely drain away. This is a massive benefit for wooden sheds, where sitting in water quickly rots frames.

    Our exceptional kits not only lift the shed out of the water and provide a free-draining base, but they also come with a specially designed membrane that allows water to pass through without letting weeds and dirt back up.

    Key Considerations When Purchasing A Storage Shed Base Kit

    When buying your shed base kit for any shed or greenhouse, consider the following;

    Weight

    What are you going to store in your shed? Do you need something capable of supporting heavy loads, such as tractors or larger lawn care equipment?

    Size

    Make sure you get a kit that is at least 1m larger in both directions, ensuring a clear boundary around your shed and the foundation's edge.

    Materials

    Look for a quality grid made of high-quality materials that can withstand years of use and are UV-stabilised so they do not become brittle or deteriorate in the sun.
