Scaffold Lights

Scaffold Lights

Keeping scaffolding well lit is an essential safety precaution, particularly if work is continuing after dark. Scaffold lights clamp on to scaffolding or skips with security screws and can flash for four months on two AA batteries. They can also illuminate continuously, and will only activate when it's dark thanks to a built-in light sensor. For maximum security, choose a heavy duty scaffold light with anti-tamper bolts. These run on two C-type batteries and can last for at least 12 months on a blinking light.

  • About Scaffold Lights

Illuminating scaffolding (and sometimes the surrounding area) is critical to worksite safety in low-light environments, especially in areas where the general public has access. Suitable scaffolding safety lights are the only way to clearly mark scaffolding and ancillary components like skips and barriers while adhering to health and safety and scaffold lighting regulations. Accidents can be more easily avoided with the proper lighting system, increasing safety and convenience for workers and passersby alike.

We stock a range of scaffold lights, each with different features and benefits suited to different needs and environments. Options include string LED lights, rechargeable battery-operated lights, and skip-mounted lights. All have weatherproof designs built for durability and ease of installation. Our range of lights ensures that your construction site remains well-lit, regardless of the weather conditions and environment.

Scaffold lights often come with different specifications, allowing you to choose the best option for your specific requirements. Whether you need high-intensity lights for night work, dimmer options to indicate the edges of your scaffolding or skip, or more portable options for flexible positioning, we will surely have a product to suit you.

    LED Scaffold Lights

Scaffolding lights that use LED technology are better value for money than those that don’t. They’re brighter, much more energy efficient, and available in many colours.

    Battery-powered Scaffold Lights

Sometimes, there is no mains electricity supply on-site or within practical reach. Power your lighting without the need to connect it by using a battery, which allows more versatility in your positioning and quantity of lights installed.

Key Considerations When Buying Scaffold Lights

    Battery Life

Depending on your lights’ main power source, consider how long they will remain functional before their battery needs recharging or replacing. If the light has a daylight sensor, this will dramatically increase battery life as the light turns off when it’s not needed.

    Colour

What colour light do you need? Red, white, and amber are usually used on scaffolding, representing different applications. Red marks roadside construction, white marks pedestrian walkways, and amber marks out hazards like barriers and other equipment.

    Ease Of Installation

Choose scaffold lights that are easy to install and reposition as you need. Options with hooks, or clamps can offer greater flexibility.

    Brightness

Ensure that the lights provide enough illumination for their intended purpose. Keeping the lenses clean will ensure the lights stay as bright as possible.

    Durability

The lights must be robust and resistant enough for the harsh conditions of their installation location on-site, including dust, moisture, impacts, and the weather!

    Flashing

Do you need a flashing scaffold light? Some scaffold lights can be switched between continuous and flashing mode.
