About GS6 Goalposts Kits & Components

Placed on either side of power cables (at a distance away from the cables), GS6 goalposts act as an early warning system for drivers so they can stop before coming into contact with potential danger.

As well as adjusting the height, you can choose different types of GS6 goalposts for different sites and locations. For example, the cantilever model is perfect if you have limited floor space, while twin-post models form gateways in open areas.

If you’re working on and around overhead cables or structures with heavy equipment, the HSE GS6 guidelines require that machinery and vehicles should avoid coming into contact - or even close proximity - with overhead power lines. Consult these guidelines to see how to set up GS6 goalposts safely.
