  • About Height Safety Kits

Fall prevention kits are used in almost every industry with an element of working at height, which occurs more frequently than you may expect. Examples include:

    • IPAF: If you are working in a scissor or cherry lift basket, you will likely wear a fall restraint kit.
    • Telecommunications: Depending on the task, you might use a twin tail fall arrest kit or a work positioning restraint kit.
    • Roofing: A roofers’ height safety kit may consist of a “rope and grab” kit, allowing free movement up and down the roof, with the ability to catch and arrest a fall if needed.

We sell working-at-height safety kits for all applications and budgets, with different lanyards for fall arrest, fall restraint, or with rope and grab lines. Choose from adjustable or fixed-length lanyards, and an excellent selection of safety harnesses. Some kits also include fall protection slings.

Our kits will keep you organised and ensure you always have the right equipment when you get to a job site. All you need to add is the proper training and knowledge to use the setup correctly and safely. We can help you find a training course or centre - just give our friendly team a call.

    Key features & considerations

When purchasing your fall protection kit, keep these points in mind to avoid accidentally purchasing an unsuitable product.

Anchor points: Choosing a kit with the correct amount of harness connections can mean the difference between being able to do your job safely or not at all. All our listings detail the number of anchor points.

Arrest or restraint: Do you require a fall arrest setup with a shock absorber or a restraint setup without a shock absorber? Using a fall arrest lanyard where you should use a restraint lanyard can result in injuries or even fatalities. Find more information on these different types of systems here.

Single or twin tail: When using ladders or moving around a large structure, a twin-tail lanyard allows you to keep at least one secure connection at all times. If you work from a fixed point, such as a piece of reach equipment, then a single-tail lanyard is likely best suited.

Connector type: Consider what you'll be anchoring your lanyard to. If you're clipping onto scaffolding, be sure to get a setup with a scaffold hook or appropriately sized gate.

Adjustability: Do you need a lanyard with an adjustable length? This will allow you to keep your lanyard as short as possible while working.

Comfort: If you’re wearing the kit daily, it may be worth buying a more expensive kit with features like adjustable shoulder straps for a better fit.
