Coaches and buses being large vehicles with relatively poor rear visibility can often find it hard to gauge rear clearance when parking. Our CoachStop solution is the ideal product in this scenario, offering an easy to feel indication for the driver when reversing into a space.
Coaches tend to have large overhangs on the rear by using proper coach tyre stoppers you can be sure that the vehicle will not reverse too far making contact with walls, other vehicles or other expensive assets such as charging stations.
When driving forward into bays the stops can be used to ensure that the door of the vehicle correctly aligns with raised kerbing at the side for easier pedestrian access to the vehicle.
Key Applications:
Installation of these coach wheel stops is easy, they are bolted down and require no digging. For installation to take place you will only require a tape measure, chalk pencil, drill and appropriately sized socket for the fixings. Five fixings are included with each stop to ensure they stay in position when bolted down.
You will require two stops per coach/bus parking bay. They should be spaced to the outside of the bays to make contact with the wheels. You will need to space them away from the back of the bay, the distance will depend on the size, and overhang of the coaches using the bays.
These stops will last for many years, as they are made from recycled HGV and coach tyres. This is great for the environment and means that they will also not damage the coach tyres.
