If you like the LowPro 11/11 and LowPro 15/10 then we think the LowPro 12/8 trench cover will be ‘just up your street works’. It encompasses all of the great features that make the LowPro range so popular.

The LowPro 12/8 is the latest addition to the growing range of excellent trench covers from Oxford Plastics. It can span trenches up to 700mm wide and has a load-bearing capacity of 400kg. As a footway board, it is perfectly suited to use on pavements, if placing across a driveway then a 15/10 should be used.

The key feature of the LowPro 12/8 trench cover is its flexible edges, these mean that in most circumstances you will not need to bolt the trench cover down. The edges provide enough traction to hold the board in place. If however, you do need to bolt the board into place for any reason, there are fixing holes present in each corner.

Key LowPro 12/8 Features

Anti Skid - As this board is meant to be walked over, it needs to prevent trips and slips. It does this well with a textured upper surface that offers good grip for pedestrians.
No Need To Bolt Down - New anti-slide rubber edges grips the surface of tarmac allowing the board to be used without being bolted down or pinned in many applications. This saves time and means no additional patching up to do filling in bolt holes once work is completed.
700mm Span - Suitable for most common trench sizes carried out in pedestrian areas. This board can span any trench up to 700mm in size without breaking a sweat.
400Kg Load Capacity - This high weight-bearing capacity is tried and tested, it allows the board to support vehicles weighing up to 1.6T (so long as only one wheel is on any single board).
Link Panels Available - If you need to cover longer trenches the LowPro 12/8 is 100% compatible with the new LowPro Infill Panels. These link multiple boards securely together. They also smooth the joint, greatly reducing trip hazards.
One Man Lift - Save on lifting equipment, reduce installation time and make deployment easier. These boards can be easily moved and installed by a single worker without additional lifting gear.
Compliant - Fully compliant with DETR ‘Safety at street works and road works code of practice” and HAUC’s 2018/1 advice note. Know that you are using the right gear that has been properly approved.
Vented - Already pre-drilled with gas vent holes and probe locations for inspection.
Shock Resistant - Does not shatter when loaded abruptly or subjected to impact.

The All-New LowPro 12/8 Link & Infill Panels

These optional extra panels link two or more boards together further increasing their structural integrity, whilst reducing the trip hazard potential for pedestrians. The LowPro infill strips are available in two sizes to suit connect onto the board at either edge, this allows you to orientate the board as best suits your needs.

The infill strips connect through the bolt down points of the board, they are easy to install and allow for safer passage by pedestrians.
