This skid-resistant overbanding tape can be used around new pothole repairs or ironwork to completely seal the seam between old and new material. This overbanding tape is very popular with utility companies for reinstatement joints in asphalt surfaces. It can be used to seal and waterproof voids up to 5mm in width.
Our material is HAPAS approved and therefore legal to use on the UK road network. It has a skid resistance of 60SRV. The Road can be opened for traffic 10 minutes after installation.
Exceptional anti-skid performance is achieved by including anti-skid elements in the form of course glass bead. Other products on the market only meet anti-skid requirements immediately after a repair is carried out, this product will maintain its anti-skid rating throughout its working life.
The product can be installed in cold conditions with the assistance of a gas torch. The performance of the product is equally as good in both cold and hot weather climates, perfect for the British Isles.
To use this product effectively you will require a heat gun which we sell separately. The heat is used to quickly and efficiently melt the tape onto the surface, much like cheese melted onto toast. This ensures there are no gaps around the edges, creating a long lasting repair.

An Ideal candidate for overbanding. If you are repairing multiple points that have clean straight lines such as the image above, then overbanding tape is the material for you. Just be sure there is no reason that “hot works” cannot be used at the site. The crack being addressed must be less than 5mm wide and 20mm deep for IinstaBand to be used.
