Quick Fit Road Signs

To ensure that both vehicles and pedestrians know how to get safely around your work site, you can use the Quick Fit road sign system. Sign faces are mounted on a universal frame, making them easy to transport and cost-effective. There are hundreds of different sign face styles, all with unique meanings, yet the majority fit on the same frames. For pedestrians, smaller 600x450mm sign faces are used, and for vehicles, signs such as 750mm triangles and circles are used along with 1050x750mm faces.

Quick Fit Signs System

Quick fit sign frames are a major part of our sign range and have recently become more and more popular with traffic management contractors and local authorities due to their versatility. They are quickly becoming the most popular temporary sign system on the UK road network.

The quickest system can be divided into two primary classes, “urban” and “high speed”. For urban areas where vehicles are travelling under 40mph then sign faces of 750mm are suitable, these are supplied in engineering grade or class 1 reflectivity. The appropriate frame for the 600mm and 750mm faces is the Quick Fit Mini.

If working on ‘high-speed’ applications such as dual carriageways and motorways then you will need larger sign faces and at least class 2 reflectivity. The faces will need to be either 900mm or 1200mm in size. You will, of course, need the appropriate frames to accommodate these larger faces also.

Which Sign Face Size For Which Frame?

Getting the right size frame for the face you are installing is important. The key factors are the toggle centres and the frames overall height. Ensuring the width of the frame is correct will ensure that the sign face is adequately supported and resists deformation in windy conditions. Ballast Bag Bars

All our Quick Fit sign frames come as standard with lower bars for anchoring sandbags. This lowers the centre of gravity of the sign and improves its wind resistance. We sell the sandbags required with this sign here.

Q-signs

Q-signs are all plastic signs feature integral legs and a face that is “stuck on”.

Cone signs

Cone signs are great for smaller firms that need a compact sign solution. They use a 750mm or 1m cone as a stand.

Roll Up Signs

The ultimate compact sign solution, these roll-up signs roll down and can be fitted into some of the tightest packed work vans.

Post Mounted

These are permanent signs for use in car parks, on the road and around factories and workplaces.

Lolipop Signs

Lolipop signs are used on low speed works these signs can be used to quickly and efficiently control traffic.
