Cone Tape

Cone Tape

When using cones as a boundary to vehicle traffic, cone rope or cone tape can be useful; bright in colour, it prevents pedestrians from walking into the work site by passing between cones. It also prevents workers from accidentally walking out from between widely spaced cones into the traffic flow on-site. Many of our tapes are brightly coloured, ensuring that they are as eye-catching as possible; some even incorporate retro-reflective materials, helping them stand out in the dark.

  • About Cone Tape

Cone barrier tape is a versatile tool for improving safety and visibility in public and private environments. When positioned between cones (and sometimes other structures), cone tape effectively delineates areas or creates barriers for the public, promoting safety in areas with pedestrian and vehicular traffic.

Cone tape is designed to work hand in hand with traffic cones, allowing for the quick, low-cost, and easy demarcation of hazardous or occupied areas as the tape is quick and easy to unbox and install. This tape comes in a range of colours, styles and finishes, often featuring high viz patterns (like alternating stripes) or worded messages (like caution or danger).

By guiding and directing pedestrians, motorists or staff on-site, traffic cone reflective tape significantly reduces accidents and confusion, ensuring a safer space for everyone.

    Retractable Tape For Cones

For areas where a temporary barrier is needed between two cones, consider equipping a safety cone with a retractable tape encased in a plastic shell. This setup allows you to deploy the barrier as necessary and retract the tape easily once it is no longer needed, making it convenient for reuse later.

    Cone Rope

Looking for breakpoints? Cone ropes are a more versatile, hi-viz temporary barrier solution with a different design than regular tape. They can have breakpoints along their length, allowing them to break off when coming into contact with vehicles, preventing the ensuing chain of destruction. Cone ropes can be mounted to cones as well as most other temporary or permanent structures.

    Fabglo

Made from a hybrid fabric that is very difficult to tear and stretch, our Fabglo cone tape is used all over the country to provide an extremely high-visibility temporary cone barrier—day or night.

Getting The Right Cone Tape For Your Needs

Consider the following factors when deciding on the best cone tape for your needs

    Break Points

If positioned in a high-traffic area, for the purpose of traffic control, consider a solution with breakpoints for traffic control. This allows pedestrian or vehicular traffic to pass through harmlessly instead of dragging over the entire row of cones.

    Eyelets

Do you need a versatile barrier solution that works with cones, fences, and other temporary structures? Be sure to choose a solution with eyelets, which allow it to be securely affixed to a structure at consistent intervals.

    Hi-Vis

Does your cone tape need to be prominent in the dark? High-visibility and reflective tape for cones provides a clear barrier for pedestrians and road users, day or night.

    Length of Tape

What is the span that you will be covering? Be sure to choose a tape that is long enough to bridge the space.

    Message on Tape

Do you need to inform passersby as to the reason for the tape? Some of our range of tapes provide prominent signage such as “danger” and “caution” to further disincentivise passersby to cross, without placing a physical barrier there to allow ease of access for people who need to be there.

    Effects of Weather

Many types of cone tape are stretched out in the wind after just a few days. Consider some of our fabglo options that are very difficult to tear and stretch.
