  • About Drop Down & Folding Bollards

Drop-down bollards are all about flexibility and convenience. You can us them to protect parking spaces, restrict vehicle access to areas, and control traffic and pedestrian flow, while allowing vehicle access by lowering the bollard when needed.

These hinged posts usually lie flat on the ground, making them popular for parking spaces. The bollards are not flexible so they will not rebound if they are hit - they are designed to act like solid bollards unless you put them in the "down" position.

They are perfect in mixed setups where you need some posts in permanent positions and some that open up. Use them with fixed bollards of the same style to create controlled entry points (to an estate, for example), or link them together using chains for adjustable pedestrian walkways.

Please note that drop-down bollards are designed to stay in the location where they've been installed - if you're looking for removable access control, explore our range of removable bollards.
