With its long handle, this extended take on the traditionally sized Shocksafe Newcastle Drainer Spade is ideal for digging deep excavations with its extended reach. The longer handle can also be a factor in reducing strain and other potential injuries.

The extended Shocksafe handle this shovel is fitted with gives enhanced reach and insulates the user from shocks up to 10,000V. This makes this shovel excellent for use in areas where there may be unknown or known buried live cables, or live conductors such as those seen trackside on the rail network.

The head of this shovel features a narrow front leading edge only 102mm wide, this allows it to cut through ground easier than larger shovels. The blade of this shovel, often called a “grafter” is forged from a single piece of high-quality steel, making it stronger than welded and pressed alternatives.
