Carters Shocksafe Insulated Flat Base Excavating Spoon

This Shocksafe excavating spoon makes removing loose soil and debris from the base of post holes and trenches easy. It is specifically designed to operate in those areas where a regular spade or scissor shovel is impractical.

With its fibreglass insulated shaft, this flat base excavating spoon is suitable for use around live cables and conductors as it meets the requirements of BS8020:2011 ‘Tools For Live Working’. This means working with this tool can insulate you from potential shocks from conductors carrying up to 10,000V, be that an unexpected buried cable or accidental contact with a known live conductor.

The head is a simple, flat steel design that is specifically designed to clear loose earth from the bottom of post holes and exceptionally narrow trenches. The head measures 152x152x76mm, making it easy to manoeuvre and handle.
