The Alusthetic Threshold Drain Bottom Connector allows easy connection between two 1-metre-long drain channels for a safe, secure and strong hold. Designed to lay flush to the floor with a 4mm lip to allow for better drainage and maximum discretion, these threshold channel connectors are made to be used with the Alusthetic Threshold Drain and Grate, connecting channel bases that measure 65mm in width, 103mm in depth and 1m in length.
Designed for use with the Alusthetic Threshold Drain and Grate around the home or in areas of low or no vehicular traffic, the channel connector (like the rest of the system) is UKCA and CE marked and fully certified to Load Class A 15 of the BS EN 1433:2002. This means it can withstand forces of up to 15kN (approximately 1.5 tonnes) in soft ground and around 25kN in concrete.
Please note that all plastic PVC parts can be connected to each other in a waterproof manner using a PVC solvent weld.
Outlets can be integrated into channel connectors or channel end plates allowing for efficient water removal. You could incorporate an 80mm outlet into this channel connector to allow connectivity to a drainage pipe below.
You should connect a maximum of 6 metres of threshold drainage channels to a bottom outlet. You can prevent stray odours from escaping by installing a syphon when connecting to the wastewater sewer.
