The Alusthetic Threshold Drain Bottom Connector allows easy connection between two 1 metre long drain channels for a safe, secure and strong hold. Designed to lay flush to the floor with no overlap, for maximum discretion, these threshold channel connectors are made to be used with the Alusthetic Threshold Drain and Grate, connecting channel bases that measure 65mm in width, 103mm in depth and 1m in length whilst incorporating a water outlet.
Designed for use with the Alusthetic Threshold Drain and Grate around the home or in areas of low or no vehicular traffic, the channel connector with outlet (like the rest of the system) is UKCA and CE marked and fully certified to Load Class A 15 of the BS EN 1433:2002. This means it can withstand forces of up to 15kN (approximately 1.5 tonnes) in soft ground and around 25kN in concrete.
Please note that all plastic (PVC) parts can be connected to each other in a waterproof manner using a PVC solvent weld.
Outlets can be integrated into channel connectors or channel end plates o allow for the efficient removal of water. This channel connector integrates an 80mm outlet to allow connectivity to a drainage pipe below.
You should connect a maximum of 6 metres of threshold drainage channels to a bottom outlet. You can prevent stray odours from escaping by installing a syphon when connecting to the wastewater sewer.
