    Although none of our hard hat range could be considered "heavy", some of our high-quality helmets have been built specifically to be lightweight while still offering superb protection from impact. They achieve their low weight without resorting to expensive construction methods such as carbon fibre and fibreglass.

    If you're wearing a helmet all day long, especially when working at height and climbing, any extra weight quickly adds up and can make for tiresome work. Lowering the helmet's weight can improve comfort. Our range offers lightweight, comfortable hard hats that are a pleasure to wear.

    Our best lightweight hard hat, in terms of being the lightest with the best protection, is the EvoLite range from JSP. This ultra-lightweight hard hat punches well above its weight of only 285g (dependent on accessory and model variants). 

    Our lightweight safety helmets with chin straps, including the SkyWorker from JSP, are ideal for those who work at height and also require side impact protection, such as linesmen, scaffolders, and wind farm workers.

    Side impact protection

    Consider the helmet's side impact resistance if you work at height. This side protection can come into play if you take a fall, are hit by a swinging object, or hit the side of your head during a fall.

    Chin strap

    A chin strap with a precise fit will prevent your helmet coming off in an accident - even if you are fully inverted. Depending on your working environment, you may need a "breakaway" or an "unbreakable" chinstrap.
