SWARCOPLAST BBA / HAPAS Approved Anti-Slip Coloured Patch Repair

SWARCOPLAST (formerly known as PumaGrip) is a High-Friction surface dressing repair kit. It is a cost-effective solution to repairing or installing a skid-resistant area aiding reduced braking distances and improving road safety and pedestrian safety where applied.

This kit is available in a range of colours including, Buff, Dark, Red or Green. This makes it suitable for a range of applications from repairing bus lanes to adding a non-slip surface to outdoor steps.

This kit includes:

• 14kg of bauxite or granite aggregate
• 6kg of MMA binding agent.
• Resin spreader
• Gloves
• Stirring stick
• Catalyst Powder

The above kit is enough to create a high friction area 2 m2.

High friction surfacing gets used for a wide range of applications, but is most commonly found on the road approaching junctions, on particularly bad bends, bus stops or approaching pedestrian crossings. This kit is used to repair any areas that have been excavated running in utilities.

Installation Process

Before beginning make sure all health and safety precautions are taken and you are familiar with the installation process

Step 1 - The surface should be clean and dry, this can be torched dry.

Step 2 - Remove components from the tub

Step 3 - Open the resin and mix in the catalyst

Step 4 - Spread the mixed resin onto the prepared surface

Step 5 - Evenly cover the aggregate over the resin-covered surface

Step 6 - Leave to cure for an hour (temperature dependant). Once fully cured sweep away any loose aggregate and open to traffic.
