This extension unit for the Milan bike shelter extends the length of the Basic or Complete shelter by a further 2500mm. This allows for double the amount of cycle storage.
The extension module can be supplied in one of our standardised RAL colours. This means it will match in flawlessly with the standard or complete shelter that it is extending. As per the standard shelter the legs of this can be raised or lowered to account for slightly uneven floor levels.
The Milan extension unit includes the roof panels but does not include any side or rear cladding panels so these will need to be purchased separately if needed.
This shelter, like many of our bike shelters and street furniture items, can be purchased as components to customise the layout.
This complete kit includes the “basic” shelter with a roof, as well as lower side and rear cladding.
The basic shelter includes the roof panelling and main steel frame but does not include side and rear cladding panels.
To make space for more cycles the Milan cycle shelter can be extended with extension units. These additional sections double the length of the Milan shelter doubling its bike storage.
These rear cladding panels come complete with colour coded frames and offer protection from wind and rain from the rear. The transparent elements are made from anti UV treated cellular polycarbonate.
Side cladding panels help fend off the elements from the sides of the shelter. These can be used to improve the shelter the basic model offers
These additional panels are unique to the Milan Shelter and help to block out the wind that would otherwise flow through above the side cladding. They are available in the same colours as the main bicycle shelter frame.
Much the same as the upper side cladding panels these sections reduce the amount of wind that can pass through the shelter, making it a more comfortable place in colder months.
Unlike the Conviviale and Economy shelters, the Milan cycle shelter sits onto bolt down base plates. This means that where a good hard foundation already exists, there is no need to carry out any excavations.
The legs on the shelter are adjustable to allow for uneven flooring, ensuring a good fit to existing surfaces that are not 100% level.
As this shelter does not include an integral rack you can choose from a selection of bike racks and bike stands that best suit your needs. We recommend using the Sheffield bike stand with cross member, or high-low bike rack.
