The LifeVac device features a unique valve and suction mechanism specifically engineered to safely remove airway obstructions. To use the LifeVac, push and twist the mask onto the base, then hold it firmly over the person’s mouth and nose with their head tilted back. Using your dominant hand, depress the handle and pull upward with a short, swift tug. If the obstruction isn’t cleared, roll the person onto their side, clear any debris from their mouth, and repeat up to five times.
