While certainly not as commonly-worn as white hard hats, the green helmet still has its place. Within the construction industry, green helmets are not permitted, and this is because all UK construction sites have to follow Build UK hat colour code rules to improve safety.

What does a green hard hat mean? First aiders can wear green hard hats in settings outside the construction industry. A green hat ensures that they are easily distinguishable from other on-site workers.
