X, T and L-pieces, stripes and dots each fulfil clearly defined functions in floor marking: while X-pieces mark precise centre or blocking points, T-pieces mark clear end points or junctions of paths and areas. L-pieces, on the other hand, are used to precisely mark corners and area boundaries. Strips are used for linear routing and for demarcating longitudinal zones, while dots are used as clear position, start or measurement markings.
