The preformed thermoplastic marking symbol for ‘Parking’ is commonly found in service stations, city car parks, hotel car parks and larger event locations like race circuits and stadiums where traffic may need to get into a certain lane for parking access. The marking clearly indicates to road users where parking locations are situated. Available in three sizes starting at 800mm going up to 1200mm, we will have the parking marking you require.
This marking boasts a bright two-colour profile giving road users the best possible chance at seeing it even when travelling over it at speed. The easily visible and also very durable thermoplastic material allows this marking to survive the most strenuous conditions of wheels turning and going back and forth over it consistently, meaning you can worry less about having to replace it in the near future. As a preformed marking, it can be easily and efficiently laid by any one person using only a gas burner and minimal preparation.
Combine this with a post mounted sign version to help direct road users to the parking allocated.
The Parking road marking is available to you in a range of sizes, so you can pick the correct size you require to display your parking. All sizes are squared due to the shape of the marking:
Other sizes are available upon request but may carry a longer delivery time.
Applying this parking symbol is very easy. Firstly the area must be cleaned of all loose debris, oil, grease and salts. Once this is done you are ready to get going. If your road surface is old tarmac, concrete or block paving then you will need to use our fast-drying primer.
Once you have fully prepped the surface the roundel can be set out. Once you are happy with the marking positioning a heat gun can be used to melt the marking to the road surface. For additional traction glass bead can be sprinkled over the surface, this is fused into the marking with the further application of heat.
Thermoplastic on block paving is known to be more difficult to apply and has a substantially shorter lifetime than on bituminous surfaces, such as tarmac.
Block paving is not a solid structure. Most of the time, they are put down and sand is added into the grooves, so over time when moisture creeps in as well as moss, movement can be made within 2 blocks, making the material crack and fail.
