Electrified Cable Overhead Road Post Mounted Sign - 779 R2/RA2 (Face Only)

The electric symbol road sign diagram 779 is used where a road passes under an electrified overhead power cable. This usually refers to where overhead tram or railway cables cross over a level crossing and should be used wherever this happens.

This warning sign should always be accompanied by a plate indicating the largest safe height for a vehicle to pass under- shown in imperial and metric units. The supplementary plates to do this can be found in the Traffic Signs Manual, Chapter 4- Figure 20-12, 20-13, and 20-14. The link to the manual can also be found on our regulations page.

This sign is available in a range of sizes from 450mm up to 1500mm. Other sizing can be arranged if needed through calling our sales team.

R2 Class 2 Reflectivity

R2 (RA2) Reflectivity makes this sign suitable for use with vehicles and reflects around 32% of the light that hits the surface back to the driver. This material is also called HIP which stands for high intensity prismatic.

Post Mountable

Twin rear channels mean the sign face can be clamped in place and will not twist once secured. The clamps are available to supply separately and are not included with the sign face.

Composite Substrate

The backing of the sign is made from a rigid plastic sandwiched between two skins of aluminium making the sign strong and very durable. As there is no steel it will not rust giving a great lifespan.
