The Durable Lite Icefree mirror is a hybrid mirror. It takes the ABS plastic frame from the Lite mirror and the ice-free face from the IceFree mirror. The combination of both these elements makes a cost-effective, frost and condensation resistant mirror.
The stainless face on this mirror makes the mirror exceptionally durable. The face is backed by a thermally active gel that controls the temperature of the face, preventing temperature swings from causing condensation and ice formation. This mirror works effectively in temperatures down to -20 degrees centigrade.
The ABS housing is made from UV stabilised material and features reflective red stripes for added contrast. The housing offers a significant price reduction when compared to all stainless steel ‘durable’ models. This traffic mirror comes complete with a stainless steel universal post clamp that fits posts ranging from 60-90mm outside diameter.
When choosing where to locate this safety mirror it is important to consider the maximum viewing distance, which for this mirror is 10 metres. This is measured from the centre of the mirror to the observer's eyes.
The mirror can be adjusted by tilting it vertically on its mount or turned horizontally to ensure it offers the best possible view.
Unlike heated mirrors, this mirror does not need an external power supply to keep the lens free of ice and frost. This is ideal for exposed, remote locations where frost and condensation are most persistent.
