The 760mm bolt down RSJ post is one of the most popular bolt-down Armco posts we offer, it is the ideal height for most applications offering outstanding rigid support for Armco beam installations. The benefits of this RSJ bolt-down design are that it can be installed right up against the surface or object it is protecting as its deflection is minimal when compared to other non-RSJ posts.
The bolt down design of this post means that no excavation is required, this is essential for installations on existing surfaces such as in car parks, especially underground and multi-story car parks. It is important to remember though that the post is only as strong as the material it is secured to, so a good concrete foundation is critical.
Our heavy-duty P224 posts are hot-dip galvanized giving them an exceptional corrosion-free life span and keeping their appearance consistent for many years to come. These posts are all fabricated in the UK to exacting standards meaning they bolt together easily with the rest of our Armco products with minimal to no fettling required.
With choices between bolt down, cast in (dig in) z section and RSJ configurations selecting the right post can be daunting. A few considerations can easily help you decide on which system is the most appropriate.
The I-Beam (RSJ) profile Armco post offers improved strength over Z section posts. RSJ posts are ideal for applications where heavier vehicles are present. For Lighter low-speed applications Z-section posts offer plenty of stopping power.
Z-section beams are the post of choice for those who have budget restrictions, as they offer a significant cost saving over their RSJ Counterparts whilst still delivering excellent vehicle restraint performance.
More costly to purchase but generally cheaper to install. Requires a good solid foundation to be installed into such as an existing thick concrete pad. This is the best option for multi-story car parks.
Cheaper to purchase, but requires excavations to install which can add to installation costs. This option is perfect for adding barriers on grassed verges or areas where there is no existing concrete foundation.
