Trench Covers

Trench covers are the best way to keep pedestrians from falling into excavations that are required when installing new utilities. They come in a range of sizes and can be placed in pedestrianised areas, ensuring that unsupervised openings are not a danger to the public. Driveway-specific versions can be used to allow and maintain vehicle access to driveways whilst new fibre, water or gas connections are being made. Rubberised edges on many boards help them stay firmly in position and prevent skidding.

Trench Plates & Pedestrian Walk Boards

Trench Covers are an important part of safe roadworks. Often Trenches have to be dug and left open which presents a hazard to pedestrians and potentially motorists also. Traditionally steel plates can be used though these are costly, difficult to work with and expensive to transport. We offer GRP Trench Covers and HDP covers to suit all pedestrian trench cover requirements. All of the Pedestrian Covers we offer are high-visibility and anti-slip design.

The Tuff Trench is the lightest and most portable trench plate that we have to offer. It is made from High-Density Polyethylene making a very strong and very lightweight cover.

Safe Covers

The Oxford Plastics Safecover is a tried and tested favourite. It is available in two sizes and is of GRP construction (Glass Reinforced Plastic). Safe Covers have an effective anti-slip design.

LowPro

Applications For Pedestrian Walk Boards

Trench Covers are mainly used on pathways which means they need to be able to stand up to the usual pavement regulations. This includes taking the weight of wheelchairs, mobility scooters and pedestrians. The larger covers, mainly being the Low Pro 15/10, can take the weight of one wheel of a 3.5-tonne van.
