About
Hughes Safety Showers
Based in Stockport, the company originated in 1950 as JD Hughes Fabrications. While erecting pipelines and structural steelwork at chemical manufacturing sites, the employees noticed a lack of effective emergency shower and eyewash facilities.
As demand increased, Hughes Safety Showers was formed in 1968. The firm was designing and manufacturing emergency safety showers and eyebaths long before it was an HSE requirement, and has continued to innovate.
Hughes created its first tank shower in 1980, then became one of the first companies to manufacture heated and insulated showers accredited to BS EN ISO 9002 and ISO 9001:2000. It also invented the world-first Hughes Zero Power Cooler for emergency tank showers.
The business has expanded into Germany, the Middle East, and North America. Hughes became part of Justrite Safety Group in 2016, joining a family of industrial safety companies - more proof that customers can trust this brand to deliver quality products.
Don't wait for the worst to happen - invest in a Hughes safety shower or eye wash station today and show your employees that you care about their safety.
