Autopa Drayton Wall Mounted Backless Bench
An ergonomically designed backless bench, Autopa’s Drayton wall-mounted backless bench is designed so its slats curve down behind the knees, decreasing the amount of pressure applied and increasing leg comfort. Similar to a perch bench, wall-mounted benches are designed to be leaned against for shorter periods of time - providing more comfort than just standing but less than a fully seated bench option.
Entirely built from steel (and available in stainless steel), this hard-wearing bench is designed for use in high-footfall, densely populated areas. It also consistently withstands weather conditions throughout the year, requiring little maintenance.
Autopa Open Spaces creates products tailored for use in busy urban environments with significant pedestrian traffic, such as town and city centres. These areas often face limited seating options due to high population density, yet pedestrians often want places to stop for various reasons.
Available in 2 lengths (1m or 1.8m), the Drayton wall-mounted backless bench can be used in tighter spaces where sitting or resting is prevalent, as well as zones with a little more available space. Typically used in waiting areas, the wall-mounted bench synergises well with other items of street furniture like bus shelters, smoking shelters, bins and noticeboards.

Designing Your Open Space
The Autopa Drayton Wall Mounted backless bench is exclusively available in a bolt-down format, as this is the method used to secure it to a wall. Ensure your (12mm) bolts are of an appropriate length to avoid causing structural damage to the wall. You can buy yours here.
Prioritise the choice of a strong and stable surface to attach the bench to, one that can support the weight of the fully loaded bench and can accommodate the bolts securely. Choose a location where the wall is sheltered and undamaged - this will ensure that users' clothes don't get spoiled and that they remain sheltered when they lean against it.
We strongly recommend selecting a stainless steel finish when installing benches near beaches, roads, or areas with high salinity levels. This option enhances protection against salt, rust, and corrosion, ensuring the bench remains durable and resistant in challenging environments.
