JSP EVO Alta DualSwitch Wheel Ratchet Safety Helmet Vented
The all-new EVO Alta DualSwitch from JSP is a safety helmet that can conform to both EN 12492 (the mountaineering standard) and EN 397. It does this whilst adding a host of new features and styling elements not seen before on the JSP helmet range. To comply with both previously mentioned safety standards, a DualSwitch chin strap has been added to this helmet, allowing you to toggle the breaking force of the chin strap to meet the requirements of >500N (EN 12492) or 150-240N (EN397).
As per the rest of the Alta range of helmets, this helmet is bursting with new features, most notable is its shape, which has done away with the traditional micro peak design seen on the EvoLite range. In addition to this an interchangeable front panel has been included, allowing you to quickly change out branding, or even install an ID badge version should you require it. A new satin finish makes the ABS shell look very modern, especially as it compliments the new black vents, clips and integrated torch retainers.
Although there are a lot of new features on this helmet, some old favourites have been included that have been tried and tested on the rest of the Evo range. The ever-popular and dependable accessory slots that sit on either side of the helmet allow Sonis ear defenders to be clipped on, as well as safety visors from the JSP range. A nice added touch to these accessory slots, which is new to the Alta range, is a blanking plate that covers over the slot when not in use; this is a welcomed addition as it blocks out dust and water.

DualSwitch Chin Strap
The chinstrap on this helmet features a switch that allows the helmet to meet both the criteria for EN 12492 and EN 397.
EN12492
The EVO Alta meets the strict requirements of EN 12492, meaning the chin strap must withstand 500N of force without deformation and that the helmet can withstand penetration testing at the crown.
Vented
This helmet features air vents along the top ridge, allowing hot air to circulate freely out of the helmet, drawing in cooler air. This convection cools the helmet interior.
Easy Identification
The Dualswitch helmet features a bright Red clip on the chin strap, allowing you to identify the helmet as a DualSwitch model easily.
Swap Out Panel
The front panel of this helmet can be swapped out for an ID card version or even for a custom-branded front panel, allowing you to subcontract with appropriate branding.
Wheel Ratchet Adjuster
The JSP Revolution Wheel Ratchet makes adjusting your helmet quick and easy, ensuring a secure fit.
Chamlon Sweatband
Includes an easy-to-replace Revolution Flex Extended Sweatband. It is dermatologically tested and wicks away sweat keeping your forehead dry and helmet comfortable.
Universal Accessory Slots
Surefit universal accessory slots allow you to use JSP’s range of ear defenders and visors without compromising the performance or comfort of the helmet.

4-point Chin Strap
The fully adjustable four-point chin strap included with this helmet will meet either EN397 or EN12492, depending on the position of the DualSwitch Toggle.
Cover Clips
The universal accessory slots on this helmet come pre-fitted with covering clips to prevent water ingress when accessories are not fitted.
Integrated Torch Retainers
Front and rear clips built into the helmet make fitting a head torch securely far easier than ever before.
Crown Impact Resistance
Simulating items falling from directly above, such as dropped tools or rocks, the crown impact test ensures that a 100J blunt force is less likely to cause injury.
Penetration Resistance
Tested with a pointed striker, this helmet can withstand 29j of force at the crown from a pointed object.
EPP Liner
An internal EPP liner gives greater side impact resistance of 25 joules, as required in EN12492. The liner is also vented to keep your head cool while working.
ABS Shell
The ABS shell of this helmet, working together with its EPS liner, allows the EVO Alta to deliver protection whilst remaining lightweight.
All Round Protection
The side, front and rear of this helmet have been tested and shown to withstand 25J of blunt force impact.
Molten Metal
The shell offers protection from molten metal contact, with the shell deformation remaining under 10mm. This can protect from splashes when welding and casting
Temperature Resistant
Tested and suitable for use in an extreme range of temperatures from -40C to +50C without detriment to performance.
Lightweight
At only 500g this helmet is lightweight and comfortable to wear all working day.
