SpeedFinder Smiley Face Radar Sign
Our smiley face speed-indicating radar sign can be used to convey both a positive smiley face to those who are not exceeding the speed limit and a negative red frowning face to those who are going too fast. The quick and obvious colour difference quickly conveys either a positive or negative message to drivers.
We have engineered this sign to be exceptionally easy to install, with all battery and solar options requiring no specialist knowledge or equipment to deploy. For a more permanent installation, the mains-powered unit requires a qualified electrician to install the device. This ease of installation makes deployment costs and the cost of the whole system cheaper and easier to get up and running.
The simplistic design of our SpeedFinder range also means that editing the settings is very easy, with two dials to set both the amount of time the message is displayed for and the speed at which the sign is triggered. Easy Mounting Bracket
The sign comes complete with a mounting bracket that the sign can quickly be locked onto without using tools. The bracket is locked to the sign from the inside, making it secure once in position.
Long Battery Life
With a single battery installed, this sign will last for 30 days before needing to be charged. This statistic is based on the sign’s exposure to 1500 speeding vehicles per day. Longer Illumination duration will decrease battery life.
Trigger Speeds 5-75
You can set the sign to trigger at any speed between 5mph and 75mph, making it ideal for on and off-highway use, including use in car parks, construction sites and quarries.
Adjustable display times 0-7.5 seconds
Select how long you want the sign to illuminate after it triggers. Keep in mind longer durations will deplete the battery faster.
Mounting Points For Support Signage
The case comes complete with mounting locations at the top and bottom, allowing to add reflective supporting signage. Signage may include messages such as “Site Speed Limit” or “Welcome to Our Village.”
Easily Relocated
We sell additional mounting brackets, allowing you to locate several around a village. This allows you to easily relocate the sign as and when required without using any tools.

When you need to move the sign to another location, you can simply open the case unhook it from the mounting bracket and re-site the sign at a new location on a different bracket, all without tools.
Auto Dimming
The sign auto dims during nighttime hours, saving battery life and ensuring it does not dazzle drivers.
Directional Lighting
The sign is highly directional, ensuring that neighbours are not disturbed by the sign lighting up at night.
Anti-Race Design
The sign will only illuminate for drivers exceeding the speed limit by no more than 20mph, discouraging drivers from intentionally trying to “race” the sign and catch their speed on it.

We have an alternative variant of this sign, which shows a speed readout and a “SLOW DOWN” message. It only illuminates when people exceed the speed limit, so there is no positive reinforcement for drivers.
