Carters ManMade 5lb Grubbing Mattock
The 5lb Grubbing Mattock from Carters is perfect for digging out narrow trenches and shaping the edge of excavations. The wide blade allows it to easily take sizable chunks out of heavy soil. The blade on the opposing face is positioned vertically, allowing it to be used to chop through roots and break heavy compacted soil.
We sell this 5lb Grubbing Mattock either as a “head” only or with a Hickory shaft as a kit. The head weighs 2.3kg (5lb), making it a competent and powerful digging tool. The eye of the head is 3”x2”, which is a common size amongst picks and mattocks.
The most popular handles for use with this head include the 555H36 Hickory handle and the 36NPFG Fiberglass handle. Please note that if you purchase this with a handle, it is supplied as a kit for easy shipping and is not assembled.
