    Covering open trenches and excavations is critical to site safety, especially in areas where the general public has access. With the proper covering system, accidents can be avoided easily, increasing safety without any inconvenience.

    A suitable road plate is the only option for areas of the road that need to remain in operation while works are being carried out. These road plates come in a variety of styles, with the most common types being traditional steel plates and more modern, lightweight composite systems.

    Where excavations have been made on pavements and across driveways, lighter-duty walkways and driveway boards can be used to ensure pedestrians can go about their general business without fear of falling into an excavation for new utility services. Below, we have outlined some of the key types of trench and excavation covers from our range.

    Oxford LowPro 1510 15/10 Anti Slip Footway Board (1500mmx1000mm)

    For The Road

    Our range of road plates is suitable for use on the public highway. While they are deployed, you may have to enforce a reduced speed limit, but they keep roads open and traffic flowing, reducing the disruption that works cause. 

    For The Pavement

    Our comprehensive range of walkboards, driveway boards, and pedestrian footway boards is perfect for use in areas where only foot traffic or, in some instances, light vehicle traffic (cars accessing driveways) is present.

    For Fibre Optic & Telecom Installation

    Our range of narrow-gauge trench covers is modular and can be extended to cover many metres of trench. The design for the narrow trenches is needed for the installation of fibre optic lines.
