These JSP ABEK1P3 filters PressToCheck fit the Force 8 and Force 10 respirators, offer exceptional performance, and, of course, have the unique JSP PressToCheck functionality. PressToCheck allows you to quickly validate the fit and function of your respiratory protection every time you put it on. This is done by pinching the filters and trying to inhale; if you can draw breath or hear air rushing in, you need to check your mask for leaks. A filter lasts about a week. In very dusty air, it may need replacing sooner. If breathing becomes hard, change the filter. In clean air, replace it 28 days after opening, even if not used, or earlier if it gets blocked.

These filters offer protection against the following hazards, A - Organic vapours and gases with boiling points 65C, B - Inorganic gases excluding carbon monoxide, E - Sulphur dioxide and acidic gasses, K - Ammonia and organic ammonia derivatives and P - Solid and liquid hazards such as radioactive particles and silica fine dust. 

Their bayonet-style locking mechanism makes these innovative filters quick and easy to change. They feature a hard plastic outer shell, protecting the sensitive filter medium inside from impacts and water splashes, which can degrade its performance and leave you exposed to hazards.
