These JSP P3 PressToCheck respirator filters are by far the most popular of the PressToCheck Filter range. They are ideal for use with contaminants such as silica and you can even use them whilst working with asbestos, if you are wearing the appropriate mask.
As part of the PressToCheck range, you can use these genuine JSP filters can to perform a quick seal integrity check each time you put your mask on. A simple mechanism within the filter allows you to pinch the housing gently , at which point, if you try to inhale, you should find it impossible. This indicates that a good seal has been formed. If you can breathe in or hear air hissing in, you know your mask needs inspecting or adjusting.
You can use these filters with the Force8 masks and Force10 masks from JSP. They are fast and easy to install with a simple twist and lock bayonet-style fitting. Each filter features a durable housing that protects the filter medium from impacts and splashes that can degrade performance. They also feature a one-way valve that ensures moisture-rich exhaled air does not come into contact with the filter medium and contaminate it.
The suitability of these filters to different applications changes depending on the mask they are fitted to. Please see the table below, which outlines some examples of suitable applications for these filters.
