Vehicles Carrying Explosives Post Mount Sign- Dia. 622.8 R2/RA2 (Face Only)

The no explosives sign diagram 622.8 stops vehicles that carry explosives from using the length of road. This should be in areas where explosives are commonly transported.

This sign will be required in more densely populated areas where any explosions would have greater consequences, such as urban or residential areas close to manufactures handling explosive materials. If this area also falls within an area which produces natural gas then this sign would be a requirement.

This sign should always be supplemented by either ‘No explosives’ or ‘No inflammables or explosives’. It can also have a second plate specifying a time period or exceptions to the order.

R2 Class 2 Reflectivity

R2 (RA2) Reflectivity makes this sign suitable for use with vehicles and reflects around 32% of the light that hits the surface back to the driver. This material is also called HIP which stands for high intensity prismatic.

Post Mountable

Twin rear channels mean the sign face can be clamped in place and will not twist once secured. The clamps are available to supply separately and are not included with the sign face.

Composite Substrate

The backing of the sign is made from a rigid plastic sandwiched between two skins of aluminium making the sign strong and very durable. As there is no steel it will not rust giving a great lifespan.
