This plastic height restriction bar is the perfect way to warn drivers that their vehicle may be too tall for an area. The bar is made from a durable plastic that is suspended from metal galvanised chains. This allows the bar to be finely adjusted to just the right height.
Thanks to its retro-reflective banding this high visibility bar is hard to miss on the approach to a car park or structure. It gives drivers maximum visual warning of a height restriction. If they miss this visual clue, then the bar will make contact with their vehicle making a sound as it contacts the car.
As this bar is plastic it is not likely to cause any damage and is a far safer way to warn drivers of a height restriction than letting them make contact with something solid that will damage their vehicle.
Supplied with two galvanised chains each measuring 2 metres long this height bar can be hung from girders, concrete ceilings or any other overhead structure.
With the proper tools and planning the unit can be installed within 30 minutes.
The chains can be shortened where necessary to fine-tune the height of the barrier. The bars should be positioned just slightly lower than the lowest point in the structure. This way if someone unloads their vehicle inside they won’t find that they are suddenly scraping the ceiling.
You will mostly see these in multi-story car parks, although they can also be found in a variety of other locations. These include, but are certainly not limited to:
Each bar is 950mm across and needs to be installed as central to the lane as possible. This ensures that drivers do not accidentally driver around the bar. For wider entrances, two can be used side by side to form a longer height bar.
For road and construction sites the GS6 kit is king. These carry out the same job but are specially developed just for construction sites.
A height bar made from a durable aluminium profile. It comes in more lengths and sizes.
Installed at the entrance to car parks and public areas these barriers are fixed in the entrance and free standing.
Providing its own structure these pivoting systems can also be moved out of the way to grant access to permitted larger vehicles.
