National Speed Limit Sign, Post Mounted Diagram 671 R2/RA2

This national speed limit sign is post mounted and part of our wider range of permanent specification signage. The sign is constructed from a durable composite material that has no scrap value, great for deterring theft. A highly reflective Class 2 R2 grade material is applied onto the composite backing featuring the Diagram 671 design.

This sign is normally installed on public roads to inform people of the correct speed limit in the area. In this case, it is the ‘national speed limit’. This speed limit varies depending on the type of road, but for cars is typically 70 mph on motorways and dual carriageways and 60 mph on other roads.

This sign is available in multiple sizes to suit different locations. When used at the start of a speed limit the signs are generally larger. Smaller repeater signs are then used to remind drivers of the correct maximum speed.

R2 Class 2 Reflectivity

R2 (RA2) Reflectivity makes this sign suitable for use with vehicles and reflects around 32% of the light that hits the surface back to the driver. This material is also called HIP which stands for high intensity prismatic.

Post Mountable

Twin rear channels mean the sign face can be clamped in place and will not twist once secured. The clamps are available to supply separately and are not included with the sign face.

Composite Substrate

The backing of the sign is made from a rigid plastic sandwiched between two skins of aluminium making the sign strong and very durable. As there is no steel it will not rust giving a great lifespan.
