40mph Speed Limit Sign, Post Mounted Diagram 670 R2/RA2

This 40mph speed limit sign is durable and easy to install onto almost any post or pole. 40mph speed limits are used in many locations especially in rural areas where a faster national speed limit leads to a 30 mph limit. In more built-up areas 40mph limits are often seen on dual carriageways leading out through suburbs.

We offer this sign in multiple sizes to suit different situations and applications. Smaller sizes of this 40 mph sign are used as repeaters whereas larger sizes are used when the speed limit changes from a faster speed limit.

This sign features the number ‘40’ on a white reflective background with a red circle surround. This colour combination makes this 40 mph speed limit sign very easy to spot and pick out at a distance. R2 Class 2 Reflectivity

R2 (RA2) Reflectivity makes this sign suitable for use with vehicles and reflects around 32% of the light that hits the surface back to the driver. This material is also called HIP which stands for high intensity prismatic.

Post Mountable

Twin rear channels mean the sign face can be clamped in place and will not twist once secured. The clamps are available to supply separately and are not included with the sign face.

Composite Substrate

The backing of the sign is made from a rigid plastic sandwiched between two skins of aluminium making the sign strong and very durable. As there is no steel it will not rust giving a great lifespan.
