Road Narrows Both Quick Fit Sign Face (Frame Not Included)
This quick fit road narrows both sign face should be used to give warning that the current section of road is going to reduce in width. This specific sign under diagram 516 is generally used where the road is obstructed on both sides of the road somewhat equally. It is almost always used with a supplementary plate stating “Single file traffic”.
This warns drivers that they may need to give way to oncoming traffic, or just that there is not enough room for two vehicles to pass. Alternative versions of this sign include a road narrows right, and road narrows left variations. These are used where the reduction in width of the roadway is primarily from one side, as is the case with most roadworks.
