These TH3P R SL Filter cartridges are made by JSP and are specifically designed for an excellent PAPR PowerCap Infinity System. These filters are sold as a pair and feature a simple twist and lock installation. This feature makes daily inspection of the filters easy and quick.
These filters are designed to filter out particulate matter such as dust, spores, mist and fumes, and as such, they will NOT filter out gases, vapours and toxic substances. To prolong the lifespan of these filters, you can pair them with PowerCap Infinity pre-filters which catch the bulk of debris, stopping the cartridges from being saturated.
With these filters installed, the PowerCap Infinity delivers TH3 protection, with a Nominal Protection Factor of 500 (UK APF 40). TH3 is the highest possible rating in the EN 12941:1998 + A2:2008 standard. This is only achieved when using genuine JSP filters.
How long will these PowerCap Inifinty filters last?
The lifespan of the filters depends on the working conditions within which the system is being used. In an enclosed environment with an extremely high amount of dust, the filters will become saturated faster than in an outdoor environment with little dust.
Can I Replace Just one Filter at a time on My PowerCap Infinity?
No you must always replace both filters at the same time. This is to ensure that the unit operates properly and delivers the specified protection.
Do I have to use pre-filters With My PowerCap Infinity?
No, but you should be aware that by not using pre-filters you will have to change your main filter cartridges more often, which is more expensive.
I angle grind metal whilst wearing my mask are these filters suitable?
Yes, but you would be wise to protect them with stainless steel spark guards. This stops hot embers from making pin holes in the paper filter material within the cartridge.
How do I know when my filters need replacing?
he PowerCap Infinity is fitted with an alarm that sounds if the flow rate drops too low, the most common cause of this is a blocked filter. Generally speaking, when visually checking your filters, if they look dirty you should change them. Finally, if you happen to work in a relatively clean environment, you should change your filters at least every month.
