Hump Bridge Ahead Sign Post Mounted- Dia 528 R2/RA2 (Face Only)
The hump bridge sign means there is an incoming hump bridge that is so severe that without warning, a driver may lose control.
If the hump bridge hides a hazard, another sign indicating this should be mounted to the same post with the first encountered hazard at the top. If there is a risk of long vehicles grounding on the bridge, warning sign 782- "Risk of Grounding" should be mounted below. This sign may also be used with:
- Diagram 511- "Reduce Speed Now"
- Diagram 572- "Distance Ahead"
- Diagram 573- "Directional Arrow"
- Diagram 575- "Oncoming Vehicles in Middle Of Road"
You should find this sign installed, with a distance plate, on the approach to the bridge’s junction where vehicles can divert, and repeated at the standard siting distance from the bridge. Refer to the Traffic Signs Manual for further details on standard siting distances.
This sign comes in sizes 600mm - 1200mm. Alternative sizing is available to order through our sales team. Please call us if this is required for your site.
