Risk Of Grounding Road Post Mounted Sign - Diagram 782 R2/RA2 (Face Only)

The risk of grounding road sign is designed to be used at level crossings and humped back bridges which are very elevated from the current road surface. When a crossing is particularly severe, larger vehicles could find that they grind on the road surface and may get stuck. This could cause a huge hazard so having a warning sign is essential.

For further guidance on using this sign diagram 782, you should consult chapter 4 of the TSM guidelines. This will give you advice for diagrams 783, 785.1 or 786 which all advise larger vehicles to stop and call the provided number before attempting the crossing.

This warning sign is available in sizes from 450mm-1500mm, but alternate sizing can be arranged if necessary. Please call or contact our sales team to arrange this.

R2 Class 2 Reflectivity

R2 (RA2) Reflectivity makes this sign suitable for use with vehicles and reflects around 32% of the light that hits the surface back to the driver. This material is also called HIP which stands for high intensity prismatic.

Post Mountable

Twin rear channels mean the sign face can be clamped in place and will not twist once secured. The clamps are available to supply separately and are not included with the sign face.

Composite Substrate

The backing of the sign is made from a rigid plastic sandwiched between two skins of aluminium making the sign strong and very durable. As there is no steel it will not rust giving a great lifespan.
