Carters Shocksafe Insulated 10lb Keying Hammer BS8020

This specialist insulated keying hammer is specifically designed for use by the rail industry and is used to knock in keys when laying track. It is designed with one end that is tapered to a different size so that it can access the keys seated in the chairs that hold them.

The handle of these hammers is made from fibreglass, making the handle lightweight yet strong. The handle is insulated to withstand shocks up to 10,000V, in line with the requirements of BS8020:2011. It features a rubberised over moulded grip that makes working with this tool easy and offers precision with every strike.

The head of this hammer weighs in at a total weight of 10lb, with both striking faces being bright finished.
