What Makes A Good Custom Road Sign?
Before choosing the best custom road sign for your use case, consider the following key factors:
Mounting
Our custom road traffic signs are available with your choice of fixing. Whether you need a barrier-mounted version, a cone-mounted version, or a metal frame, we’ve got you covered!
Imagery & Logo
If unique imagery or logos are required, supply the files as a vector graphic or a high res PNG. This will maintain the imagery’s quality, which will be translated onto the finalised sign. This method will avoid having pixelated imagery on your sign!
Size
Consider the size of the temporary sign needed. 600x450mm signs are usually used on footpaths for pedestrians, and 1050x750 are usually for motorists. Triangles and squares tend to be 750mm.
Message
What wording does the custom sign need? Consider the length of your message - does it fit in the space? Keep the message concise if motorists need to read it quickly while driving past. Please use sentence case if you need to conform to British Standards!
Shape Meaning
In the UK, each different shape of sign is made to convey a different meaning: Triangle = Warning Circle = Direction/instruction (something must be done) Rectangular = Instructions or any other information
Colour
The colour of your signage represents different messages. To be compliant, use the following: - Yellow signs for diversions - Blue signs, car park information - Red signs are used for dangers and hazards - White signs convey more general information Other colours of your choice are available upon request!
Material & Sign type:
Our custom road signs are built to order, with the following styles for diverse use cases: - Zintec, - Quickfit, - Cone sign, - Correx, - Plastic
Reflectivity
How reflective should your sign be? Depending on its installation location and use case, your custom sign should have a specific reflectivity in order to conform with British standards. All our road signs are built to conform with the use case they are designed for, but if you need a different reflectivity rating, just let us know. Feel free to contact us if you need any more information!
