  • About Blue Barriers

Our range of blue barriers includes some of the biggest brands in site safety, including Melba Swintex, JSP, and Oaklands Plastics. Each has its own quality blue offerings for traffic and pedestrian management.

Depending on the setting and the type of barrier selected, these blue safety barriers can be used for various applications, from pedestrian management to traffic management. In terms of functionality, they match exactly to their orange-coloured counterparts, with the primary difference being only their blue colour.

For many rail sites, traditional red-toned barriers are prohibited, which is why blue barriers are a popular choice on station platforms, where they cannot be confused with rail signalling equipment.

    JSP Titan Expander Barrier

    Pedestrian

Our blue pedestrian barriers are perfect for use alongside road works. They can prevent pedestrians from accidentally or intentionally walking into areas of danger. Interlocking designs allow you to create an unbroken chain of barriers that forms a secure boundary around your site.

    Chapter 8

Our comprehensive range of blue chapter 8 barriers includes all the quality features you expect, including exceptional wind resistance, interlocking connections, reflective markings, and high-stability feet.

    Water Filled

Blue water-filled barriers are one of the most popular types of barrier deployed around the UK capital of London. They are used around construction and for delineating traffic and cycle routes. As required, they can be supplied with or without reflective panels.

    GS6

When you need to warn drivers of construction equipment or overhead dangers, such as structures or power cables, on a rail site, our blue GS6 barrier Kits are just what you need.

    Folding

For utility workers, a compact folding barrier can be quickly deployed around a working area, such as an inspection cover or telecoms cabinet. Our blue manhole barriers can be set up easily without taking up valuable vehicle space.

Key Reasons For Buying Blue Barriers

    Branding

Having your barriers in a company colour makes a lot of sense. It sets your work apart from the competition and helps significantly with brand identity.

    Anti-theft

Blue barriers are harder to sell on or “accidentally” remove from the site as they are clearly different from the normal orange barriers.

    Site Restrictions

Some sites prohibit orange barriers, and where this is the case, other colours need to be considered.

    Zoning

If you need to create different zones on site, a selection of coloured barriers can indicate where PPE is to be worn, where a smoking area is located, or where only certain members of staff are permitted due to specific dangers in those areas.
