Supplementary Signs

Supplementary signs are used to add specifics or further details to other signs such as regulatory and warning signs. This is a very important step to ensure that roads and car parks operate safely, for example by telling drivers how far away speed bumps or a pedestrian crossing is. On-the-road supplementary signs can be used to reinforce the message provided by a sign such as “give way to oncoming traffic”.
