Heavy Duty Tarmac & Concrete Fixing - (Speed Bump Fixing) - Optimised for Road Applications
This universal fixing for tarmac and concrete is optimised for road applications including speed bumps, bollards and bases, bike stands, shelters and other traffic / street furniture. This improves over other tarmac bolts, screws and fixings. Features include:
- One fixing for tarmac and concrete - simplify what you carry in the van.
- Hot-dip galvanised finish for an extra-long life time, (5 - 10 times thicker than standard BZP).
- Heavy duty design with an oversized plug to distribute forces.
- Oversized, flanged head so no washer is required in most applications.
- Interlocking plug design gives maximum traction in tarmac.
Applications for the Universal Fixing
This Fixing is suitable for many applications including:
- Fixing our speed bumps.
- Fixing our bollard bases.
- Fixing some bolt down posts.
- Various other traffic related applications.
This fixing requires a 16mm hole when securing into tarmac, this will give a very snug fit when securing into concrete.
How is this Installed?
This fixing is installed in the same fashion as the traditional rawl-type fixing.
- Mark out the hole using a marker or small drill.
- Drill an 16mm hole to the depth of the plug - at least 100mm.
- Clean the hole from any dust or debris using a brush or air pump.
- Use a hammer to knock in the plastic plug.
- Position the item you want to secure over the hole.
- Place the coach screw and tighten using a 16mm socket or nut spinner.
When securing into tarmac or asphalt, it is important to remember that the fixing is only as strong as the tarmac itself.
No Washer Needed
The unique flanged head design eliminates the need for a washers in most situations - less parts, less time on site!
Tough Nylon Plug
The plug is manufactured from nylon and with its prickly design, allows it to be secured into either tarmac or concrete.
