Description

Soft Verges For 2 Miles - Supplementary Plate 556.2

This supplementary plate is part of our permanent road sign range and serves to warn drivers of soft verges. Soft verges may not only cause a vehicle to get stuck, but can also damage the vehicle, and cause significant damage to the verge itself. This supplementary plate should only be used with sign diagram 556.1.

This sign can be varied to change the distance the warning applies for. The distance can be completely omitted as can the word for. For any variations please contact us for more details.

The size of the text on this sign can be altered to suit the road it is being installed on. This will have an impact on the overall size of the sign face. For full guidance on the use of this sign please consult the TSRGD guidelines linked to on our regulations page.

Key features

R2 Class 2 Reflectivity

R2 (RA2) Reflectivity makes this sign suitable for use with vehicles and reflects around 32% of the light that hits the surface back to the driver. This material is also called HIP which stands for high intensity prismatic.

Post Mountable

Twin rear channels mean the sign face can be clamped in place and will not twist once secured. The clamps are available to supply separately and are not included with the sign face.

Composite Substrate

The backing of the sign is made from a rigid plastic sandwiched between two skins of aluminium making the sign strong and very durable. As there is no steel it will not rust giving a great lifespan.

CE Marked

This sign is supplied CE marked and is made from road grade materials, it has a long lifespan and will stand the test of time.
