This quick fit sign is used to warn drivers that there is a change in road level, this is often where resurfacing works are being carried out. This red sign has RAMP sign should be placed exactly where the road level changes, this is usually where the new tarmac has been laid over a stripped base.

The use of this sign helps drivers prevent damage to their car or alloy wheels by warning them that the ramp is there as the change in level can often be hard to spot due to the similar colour of new and old surfaces.
