The 'Priority over oncoming vehicles' supplementary plate diagram 811.1 is designed to be used to clarify the message of Diagram 811 which is that have priority over oncoming traffic.

These are always used with Diagram 615 which is the opposite of this sign, and informs oncoming vehicles that they should yield to traffic.

Most frequently used on slower speed roads where roadworks have narrowed the route to a single lane. For guidance on how and where this sign should be deployed please see the chapter 8 traffic signs manual.
