Junction Ahead Post Mounted Sign- Diagram 501 R2/RA2 (Face Only)
This plain advanced warning sign means that there is a junction ahead. It alerts the driver of the distance from a ‘stop’ or ‘give way’ line so that they can lower their speeds in preparation. This sign is part of our high-quality range of post mountable signs so fits with the road standards and is guaranteed to last.
As there are no graphics on the sign, its meaning may not be clear to some road users. Because of this, it must be used with a supplementary plate of diagram 502 (STOP) or 503 (GIVE WAY) followed by the distance, in yards, from the stopping line. The sign may also be accompanied by the word SLOW, diagram 1024. Diagram 608 is also recommended for use underneath 502 or 503 where the junction is with a dual carriageway road. For exact specifications on the positioning of this sign, refer to page 11 of the TSRGD guidelines chapter 4
The standard size of the advance warning sign is 600mm. We supply sizes from 450mm to 1500mm or can have others supplied to order. Please contact the sales team directly if this is the case.
